REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICES BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

Philosophy Tripos, Part II

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 380)

With effect from 1 October 2006

The Faculty Board of Philosophy give notice that Papers 2 (Philosophy of mind) and 6 (Philosophy of science) for Part II of the Philosophy Tripos are suspended for the academical year 2006-07. The regulations for Part II of the Tripos have also been amended to include in the list of papers which may be replaced by essays the papers that may be borrowed from the Classical Tripos.

Regulation 8.

By amending the first line of the regulation so as to read:

'In place of any one of Papers 1-11 and the papers specified in the Schedule to these regulations, a candidate who has previously obtained honours in Part IB'.

Papers from Part II of the Classical Tripos that may be taken in Part II

With effect from the same date

By deleting from the first two lines of the schedule the words ', which shall be assessed by written examination only'.
