The Registrary has received notice from the Clerk of the Privy Council that Her Majesty the Queen, at a Council held on 19 July 2006, was pleased to approve the grant of a Charter of Incorporation to Hughes Hall under the name and style of 'The President and Fellows of Hughes Hall in the University of Cambridge'.
Her Majesty has also been pleased to approve the amendments of Statutes G and K which were submitted under the Common Seal of the University to Her Majesty in Council in accordance with Grace 1 of 1 February 2006. These amendments recognize Hughes Hall as a College of the University.
The Registrary has also been informed that at the same meeting of the Privy Council Her Majesty was pleased to approve the amendment of Statute F, I, 1(d) (Financial Matters) which was submitted under the Common Seal of the University to Her Majesty in Council in accordance with Grace 1 of 25 January 2006.
