Postgraduate Certificate in Education

With immediate effect

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Education, give notice that the two-year course for the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (subject conversion scheme) has been rescinded with immediate effect as the Faculty will no longer provide teaching. The Faculty Board are satisfied that no candidate's preparation will be adversely affected by this change. The regulations have been amended as follows:

Regulation 3.

By amending the regulation so as to read:

3. Subject to the provisions of Regulation 4, the course of study for the Certificate shall consist of a course extending over one academical year, including not less than ninety days of supervised work in a school or schools.

Regulation 7.

By deleting the entry for Section III Subject studies and by replacing in line 12 the words 'Sections I and III' by the words 'Section I'.

Regulation 8.

By deleting the second sentence.

Regulation 13.

By amending the first two sentences so as to read:

The names of candidates who satisfy the Examiners shall be arranged in alphabetical order in a single class.
