University Council (membership of Finance Committee): Notice

The Council seek expressions of interest in serving on the Finance Committee and suggestions of possible 'external' members who might be considered for appointment. A place on the Committee, to be filled by appointment by the Council, will fall vacant on 1 October 2006.

The principal function of the Finance Committee is to advise on University financial business in its broadest aspects, including the preparation and publication of accounts, and other duties relating to financial management and related business. The Committee advises the University Council on these matters, financial strategy, investments, pensions, and is itself advised by various sub-committees and by the new Investment Board. There is a separate Audit Committee of the Council. Further information about the Finance Committee may be obtained from the Administrative Secretary.

Any expressions of interest or communications may be made to the Administrative Secretary at the University Offices, the Old Schools, Cambridge, CB2 1TN (e-mail aef30@admin.cam.ac.uk), if possible by Wednesday, 5 July 2006.
