G. L. S. SHACKLE STUDENTSHIP

Applications are invited for the G. L. S. Shackle Studentship for a single Cambridge University term between January 2007 and June 2008. The Studentship is open to scholars who may be graduates of any University and of any seniority. It provides the successful candidate with one term's free accommodation in the College if available plus a meals allowance, or a sum of £2,000, paid in instalments over a period of ten weeks. In order to qualify for the award it will be necessary for the successful applicant to produce a scholarly paper relating to Shackle at the end of his/her tenure. The scholarly paper should be of sufficient standard to be publishable in a leading economics journal.

It is important to note that the College cannot be responsible for providing airfares or visas.

Applications should include a completed application form, a full curriculum vitae, a publications list, a résumé of not more than 2,000 words of the proposed research project, and the names of two academic referees. Early expressions of interest are strongly encouraged.
