STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN PHILOSOPHY/POLITICAL THEORY

Lincoln College invites applications from graduates, either men or women, for a Stipendiary Lectureship in Philosophy and Political Theory, tenable for one year in the first instance, from 1 October 2006 to 30 September 2007. The successful candidate will be expected to teach up to twelve hours a week. The salary offered is currently £18,794 a year. Certain Common Room rights and allowances are also offered.

The College is particularly concerned to provide the teaching of Ethics, Mill's Utilitarianism, Theory of Politics, and Introduction to Political Theory. The ability to teach one or more further subjects in Philosophy and/or Politics would be an advantage. As part of the ordinary duties of the post, the Lecturer will assist generally in the organization of teaching, with the supervision of students including setting and marking collections, and will also assist with the admissions process in Michaelmas Term.
