JUNIOR BURSAR

The College is seeking to appoint a Junior Bursar in succession to Paul Simm, CBE.

Trinity College is a world-leading academic institution with an outstanding record of education, learning, and research. A thriving, dynamic, and forward-looking community, Trinity is now home to around 650 undergraduates, 350 graduates, and 170 Fellows. Its buildings range in date from the fourteenth century to the present day and most are listed as being of special architectural or historic interest.

The appointee will: play a pivotal role in the life of the community, responsible to the College Council for the smooth and efficient running of the College's domestic affairs; lead and manage over 300 administrative, domestic, and works staff providing a broad range of services; and as a member of Council, provide operational and financial input to strategic discussions.

Desirable attributes include: a proven and successful general management role with experience of leading diverse teams and excellent problem solving and project delivery skills; adaptability, calmness under pressure, resilience, and diplomacy; first-class communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to operate effectively in a collegiate environment.

MEMORIAL GATHERING

A celebration of the life of Rajnarayan Shamrao Chandavarkar, Reader in the History and Politics of South Asia, Fellow of Trinity College, will be held in Trinity College Chapel at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, 11 May.
