STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN ECONOMICS

Brasenose College proposes to appoint a temporary Lecturer to provide, on average, twelve hours a week tutorial teaching, tenable for one year from 1 October 2006. The stipend, which will be pensionable within USS, will be on the scale recommended by the Committee of Senior Tutors and will depend on qualifications and experience, with a current minimum of £18,925. In addition the Lecturer will be entitled to free meals at the common table during weeks 0-9 of Full Term. The person appointed will work under the direction of the College's Fellow in Economics. Applicants should be able to teach Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics for Prelims and for second and third year undergraduates, as well as at least one of the Option Papers in Economics available to undergraduates (see http://www.economics.ox.ac.uk/). The Lecturer will also be required to participate in the entrance procedures and to assist generally in the running of Economics in collaboration with the Fellow in Economics.
