CHADWICK PRIZES

Jesus College is offering one or more prizes of £500 in 2007 for essays concerning the Philosophy of Religion by members of the University who, at the time when the essays are submitted, have taken Honours in Classics or Theology at any university within the preceding three years and who have not previously been awarded a Chadwick Prize.

The essay should be of approximately 4,000 words and should not have been previously submitted for a degree or prize. Candidates should submit their proposed essay title to the Tutorial Office, Jesus College for the approval of the examiners during the Easter or Michaelmas Term 2006 (but not later than the division of the latter term).

Essays must be sent to the Tutorial Office, Jesus College, Jesus Lane, Cambridge, CB5 8BL, on or before the first day of the Easter Full Term 2007. Each essay must bear a pseudonym, but not the candidate's name, and must be accompanied by a sealed envelope marked outside with the same pseudonym, and the name of the Prize, and containing the candidate's full name and College written clearly.
