STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN ECONOMICS

Lincoln College invites applications from graduates, either men or women, for a Stipendiary Lectureship in Economics, tenable for an initial period of two years from 1 October 2006 to 30 September 2008, with the possibility of renewal on an annual basis subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding. The successful candidate will be expected to teach up to six hours a week on average, each term. The salary offered is currently £9,397 a year. Certain Common Room rights and allowances are also offered.

The Lecturer will work under the direction of the College's Fellow and Tutor in Economics, and will be required to provide teaching in Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics for first and second year undergraduates. The ability to teach at least one of the optional papers in PPE is essential. As part of the ordinary duties of the post, the Lecturer will assist generally in the organization of teaching in Economics, the pastoral supervision of students including setting and marking collections, and the admissions process in Michaelmas Term.
