The Council of the Philosophical Society gives notice that two General Meetings of the Society will be held at 4.45 p.m. on 8 May and 10 July in the Henslow Room, Central Science Library, Arts School, Bene't Street for the purposes of electing Fellows.
At a meeting held on 13 March in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Professor T. J. Pedley, President, was in the Chair. Professor Daniel Wolpert, Department of Engineering, delivered a lecture entitled The Puppet Master - how the brain controls the body. A vote of thanks was moved by Professor Athene Donald, FRS.
