Corpus Christi College invites applications for a College Lectureship in English. The appointment will be of fixed term, for three years in the first instance, from 1 September 2006, with the possibility of renewal for a further two years. Applications are welcome from those working in any field of English Literature. The successful candidate will be expected to reside in Cambridge and to act as Director of Studies in English. Candidates should be able to teach and examine a range of topics covered in Parts I and II of the Cambridge English Tripos.

The annual stipend of a College Lecturer who does not hold any other office is currently on a scale of £23,128 to £27,929 (equivalent to points 9 to 13 on the University spine). The stipend is pensionable and there are additional Fellowship benefits.

Further particulars are available from the Master's Secretary. Letters of application should be sent to the Master, Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, CB2 1RH, to arrive by 21 April 2006. A full curriculum vitae should be submitted, and should include details of qualifications, publications, and experience, together with the names and addresses of three persons who have agreed to act as academic referees. Applicants should arrange for their referees to write directly to the Master by the closing date.
