Pembroke College

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Pembroke College has enjoyed many years of successful fundraising since the Development Office opened in 1994, including a £13m campaign between 1995 and 2000. It benefits from having an established team, a Corporate Partnership Scheme, and an Annual Fund.

This is an opportunity to lead a respected Development Office and to expand its capabilities in winning major gifts from alumni and other individual donors. The post-holder will play a major role in planning a national and international strategy for a proposed £25m campaign, and will also cultivate the College's relationships with its major donors and strengthen a culture of donor engagement and affinity.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a Fellow of Pembroke College and to make a positive contribution to the future of this distinguished institution. The person selected would be expected to take up the position on or about 1 September.

With an excellent record of accomplishment in Development, the successful candidate will already be operating at a senior level, and have extensive experience in planning major gift strategies and soliciting major donations. It is essential that some experience has been gained in higher education or the UK not-for-profit sector.

The successful candidate will be astute, able to provide clear direction, and be confident in his or her ability to work effectively in an academic community of the highest calibre.
