Appointments, reappointments, and grants of title

The following appointments, reappointments, and grants of title have been made:

Appointments

University Lecturer

Linguistics. Dr Bert Vaux, B.A., Chicago, M.A., Ph.D., Harvard, appointed from 1 July 2006 until the retiring age.

Associate Lecturer

Veterinary Medicine. Dr David Leonard Williams, Vet.M.B., M.A., JN, Ph.D., London, MRCVS, appointed from 1 January 2006 for five years.

Assistant Registraries

University Offices (Academic Division). Mrs Tamsin Melanie James, JN, LL.B., Newcastle, appointed from 1 February 2006 until the retiring age, with duties in the Faculty of English. Mr Michael Gordon Sargeant, B.Sc., Nottingham, appointed from 1 February 2006 until the retiring age.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Academic Division). Ms Rachael Louise Tuley, M.Phil., W, B.A., London, appointed Administrative Officer, Grade I, from 1 March 2006 until the retiring age, with duties in the Department of Engineering.

English. Dr Gavin Robert Alexander, CHR, Dr David Asaf Hillman, K, and Dr Sarah Meer, SE, reappointed from 1 October 2006 until the retiring age.

Genetics. Dr Marisa Segal reappointed from 1 March 2006 until the retiring age.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Lecturers

Anatomy. Dr Angela Susan Tavenor, F, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 November 2005 for two years.

Architecture. Mr Tom Emerson and Mr Jim McKinney have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for two years. Dr Susanna Avery-Quash, PET, and Dr David A. Oldfield have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for a further two years.

English. Dr Subha Mukherji, F, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for two years. Dr Edward Keith Brown, PEM, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2006 for a further two years.

Land Economy. Dr Nigel Allington, CAI, Ms Sue Chadwick, Mrs Moira Bell Gardiner, ED, Dr Linda Brown Glascock, Mr Gerwyn Griffiths, Mr Danilo Camargo Igliori, DAR, Mr Kelvin MacDonald, Ms Jill Morgan, Dr Mark Roberts, NH, Dr Maria Ruiz-Tagle, Mr David Stott, and Mr Leonard D. Van Drunen have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for a further year.

Law. Mr Andrew Timothy Fergusson Lang, TH, Dr Dietrich Oberwittler, Mr Jacob Rowbottom, K, Ms Anat Scolnicov, LC, and Miss Eleanor Spaventa, NH, have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for one year. Mr Bill Allan, Dr Benjamin Crewe, R, Professor Richard John Alexander Hooley, F, Dr Rose Anne Melikan, CTH, Dr John David Bagnall Oliver, Dr Jillaine Karen Seymour, SID, Dr Philip R. Wood, and Mr Anthony David Yates, R, have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for a further year.

Oriental Studies. Dr Simon Charles Kaner has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for two years.

Corrections

Certain of the details published in the 1 February 2006 edition of the Reporter are incorrect. They should read as follows:
