Graces submitted to the Regent House on 15 February 2006

The Council submit the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 109), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 24 February 2006.

1. That Regulation 3 for the Judith E. Wilson Fund be amended so as to read:1

3. The first charge on the income of the Fund shall be to provide the stipend and employers' pension and national insurance contributions of a Professor of or Reader or University Senior Lecturer or University Lecturer in Poetry and Drama in the Faculty of English. The second charge on the income of the Fund shall be to provide for one or more lectures in drama or poetry which shall be entitled the Judith E. Wilson Lectures on Drama and Poetry. The third charge on the income of the Fund shall be to support activities associated with the drama studio in the Faculty of English. The Managers may at their discretion pay any expenses incurred in the administration of the Fund or in connection with the Lectures.

2. That the recommendations in paragraph 6 of the Report of the General Board, dated 11 January 2006, on the establishment of a His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Professorship of Modern Arabic Studies (Reporter, 2005-06, p. 331) be approved.

3. That the recommendations in paragraph 4 of the Report of the General Board, dated 11 January 2006, on the establishment of a Professorship of Molecular Immunology and a Professorship of Stem Cell Biology (Reporter, 2005-06, p. 332) be approved.

4. That the recommendation in paragraph 6 of the Report of the General Board, dated 11 January 2006, on the establishment of a Professorship of Politics (Reporter, 2005-06, p. 333) be approved.

5. That the recommendations in paragraph 3 of the Second Report of the General Board, dated 11 January 2006, on the establishment of a Professorship of Management Studies (Reporter, 2005-06, p. 333) be approved.

6. That the recommendation in paragraph 6 of the Report of the General Board, dated 11 January 2006, on the establishment of a Readership in French (Reporter, 2005-06, p. 334) be approved.
