The Faculty Board of Divinity give notice that, with effect from the examination to be held in 2007, the form of the examinations for the degree of Bachelor of Theology will be changed as follows:
Candidates will be required to attempt four questions from a choice of twelve relating to the history, literature, and theology of the Old Testament, and its relevance to Christian ministry.
Candidates will be supplied with unmarked NRSV Bibles but will not be required to show greater precision in Biblical references as a result of the availability of Bibles.
Candidates will be required to attempt Question 1 and a further three questions, one from each section. Question 1 will require comment on two out of five prescribed texts. Section A will contain at least five questions on the Gospels; Section B will contain at least five questions on the Epistles; Section C will contain at least five questions on the historical Jesus and the historical context of the early Church.
Candidates will be supplied with unmarked NRSV Bibles but will not be required to show greater precision in Biblical references as a result of the availability of Bibles.
