Graces submitted to the Regent House on 25 January 2006

The Council submit the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 109), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 3 February 2006.

1. That the recommendations in paragraph 5 of the Report of the Council, dated 12 December 2005, on accounting arrangements of the University Press (Reporter, 2005-06, p. 217) be approved.

2. That the recommendations in paragraph 7 of the Report of the General Board, dated 30 November 2005, on the Directorship of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (Reporter, 2005-06, p. 224) be approved.

3. That the recommendations in paragraph 5 of the Report of the General Board, dated 30 November 2005, on the establishment of a Miriam Rothschild Professorship of Conservation Biology (Reporter, 2005-06, p. 225) be approved.

4. That Regulation 8 of the regulations for the Vice-Chancellor be deleted and Regulation 9 be renumbered as 8.1

5. That the tenure of the Professorship of Nephrology, established by Grace 3 of 19 October 2005 for Dr Fiona Eve Karet in the Department of Medical Genetics, be extended until the retiring age.2

6. That the tenure of the Professorship of Molecular Neurogenetics, established by Grace 3 of 19 October 2005 for Dr David Chaim Rubinsztein in the Department of Medical Genetics, be extended until the retiring age.2

7. That the tenure of the Professorship of Immunology and Medicine, established by Grace 3 of 19 October 2005 for Dr Paul Joseph Lehner in the Department of Medicine, be extended until the retiring age.2

8. That the tenure of the Readership of Structural and Molecular Biology, established by Grace 3 of 19 October 2005 for Dr David Jonathan Owen in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry, be extended until the retiring age.2
