WAYNFLETE PROFESSORSHIP OF PURE MATHEMATICS

Applications are invited for the above Professorship, tenable from 1 October 2006, or such later date as may be arranged. The Professor will provide leadership in research and teaching. The University expects to appoint a pure mathematician of the highest international distinction. A professorial Fellowship at Magdalen College is attached to the Professorship.

UNIVERSITY LECTURESHIP IN MEDIEVAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE

The University, in association with Magdalen College, proposes to appoint a University Lecturer in Medieval English Language, from 1 October 2006 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will have a distinguished record of scholarship and research in the field specified, and will be able to teach, supervise, and examine undergraduate and graduate students, and to contribute to administration in the College and the Faculty. The salary for this post will be up to £47,078 a year.
