Stiglitz (Columbia University, former Chief Economist at the World Bank, 2001 Nobel Prize in Economics) will give the first Clare Distinguished Lecture in Economics and Public Policy, on Fair trade for all: how trade can promote development, in Lecture Room LG18, Faculty of Law, West Road, on 31 January at 5 p.m. Martin Wolf, CBE (chief economics commentator, of the Financial Times) will act as discussant.
