UNIVERSITY LECTURESHIP IN GERMAN LITERATURE

The University in association with Wadham College proposes to appoint a University Lecturer in German Literature in the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages from 1 September 2006 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is associated with a Tutorial Fellowship at Wadham College.

The successful candidate will be a specialist in German Literature of the modern period. Preference may be given to candidates who specialize in the period after 1945. Candidates should have a distinguished record of scholarship and research in German Literature within the period specified, and will be able to teach, supervise, and examine undergraduate and graduate students, and to contribute to administration in College and Faculty. Early career applicants should show outstanding research potential. The salary for this post will be up to £47,078.
