On 25 November, at the Church of St Edward King and Martyr, the following members of the University rang a Quarter-Peal of 1,272 Changes of Cambridge Surprise Minor to mark the 106th birthday, on 22 November, of Philip Mayne, M.A.

Philip Mayne, who is believed to be the oldest member of the University, is the last surviving Officer to have served in the Great War. He graduated in 1921.
