Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic Tripos, and Preliminary Examination for Part I, 2006

The Faculty Board of English give notice that, with effect from the examinations to be held in 2006, the form of the examination for the Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic Tripos and for the Preliminary Examination for Part I will be changed as follows:

Preliminary Examination for Part I

Candidates will be required to answer questions 1, 2, and two others.

Question 1 (the three seen passages) will now be worth 30% of the paper (each passage 10%), question 2 (the unseen) will be worth 20%, and the remaining two (essay) questions 25% each.

Part I

Paper 2. Scandinavian history in the Viking Age
