REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICES BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

Engineering Tripos, Parts IIA and IIB

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 289)

With effect from 1 October 2006

The regulations have been amended to take into account the introduction of a new Group (Engineering for the Life Sciences) of teaching modules.

Part IIa

Regulation 16.

By adding to the list of Groups:

Group G: Engineering for the Life Sciences

By inserting a third sentence into the paragraph below the list of Groups so as to read:

In Group G the Faculty Board shall prescribe modules whose total duration for written papers shall be no more than nine hours.

Regulation 17.

By amending the first part of the first sentence so as to read:

Each module in Groups A, B, C, D, E, F, and G shall be examined …

Part IIb

Regulation 25.

By adding to the list of Groups:

Group G: Engineering for the Life Sciences

By amending the first part of the first sentence in the paragraph below the list of Groups so as to read:

In each Group except Groups G, I, M, and R …
