POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT IN COMBINED X-RAY DIFFRACTION AND OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY

Applications are invited for the above post, tenable for up to three years, to develop time-resolved combined optical spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. Degree in experimental physics, chemistry, or engineering, and meet the criteria described in the full job description, which is available at http://www.caths.cam.ac.uk/employ/jmc.html.

The appointee will be employed by St Catharine's College, but will be based at the University of Durham in the Chemistry Department. The starting salary will be on the spine point 6-7 according to relevant experience. The post is a pensionable, fixed-term appointment and is full time. The post will be available from 1 February 2006.
