Emmanuel College

HERCHEL SMITH LECTURESHIP IN LAW

This Lectureship has been funded by a generous bequest to Emmanuel College by the late Dr Herchel Smith. Emmanuel College is the employer but the terms of employment will conform as far as possible to those of University Lecturers. It is hoped to appoint a candidate whose interests lie broadly in the area of European law including EU law. The person appointed will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, conduct and supervise advanced research, and participate in the general work of the Faculty of Law and the College.

This appointment will be for an initial period of three years, with the possibility of reappointment to the retiring age upon satisfactory performance. The pensionable scale of stipends for this post is currently £25,565 a year, rising by twelve annual increments to £39,452.
