FELLOW AND COLLEGE LECTURER IN ENGLISH

Applications are invited for the post of College Lecturer in English. The appointment will be for five years from 1 October 2006, with the possibility of reappointment thereafter, and will carry with it a Fellowship.

The successful candidate, who will have expertise in the areas of Renaissance and/or eighteenth-century and Romantic literature, will be expected to be active in research, contribute to the direction of studies in English, and provide undergraduate supervision for the College. The ability to provide supervisions on Tragedy would be an advantage. The stipend will be between £25,565 and £39,452, depending on the age and experience of the person appointed.

Preference may be given to candidates who have recently gained a Ph.D. Degree.
