Annual Meetings of the Faculties

Archaeology and Anthropology

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Archaeology and Anthropology gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on 7 November, in the Seminar Room of the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, Downing Street. All members of the Faculty are invited to attend. Reports on the past year will be presented by the Chairman of the Faculty, the Heads of the Departments of Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, and Social Anthropology, the Director of the McDonald Institute, the Director and Curator of the Museum, the Chair of the Part I Teaching Committee and the Haddon Library.

Elections will be held in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c) of members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve from 1 January 2006.

Nominations and notifications of any other business must be sent in writing to the Secretary of the Faculty Board of Archaeology and Anthropology, Downing Street not later than 3 November.

Faculty members requiring the agenda and associated papers in advance of the meeting please e-mail the Secretary of the Faculty Board (hip20@hermes.cam.ac.uk) before 2 November.

Earth Sciences and Geography

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Earth Sciences and Geography gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on 15 November, in the Seminar Room, Department of Geography, Downing Place. The business will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2, of three members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2006, and a by-election for one further member in class (c) to serve for the calendar year 2006.

Nominations for the election and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board (secretary@esg.cam.ac.uk) not later than 8 November.

Economics

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Economics gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on 14 November in the Meade Room, Austin Robinson Building, Sidgwick Avenue. The agenda for the meeting will be circulated to each member of the Faculty. One of the items of business will be to elect, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), two members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2006.

Nominations in writing, signed by the proposer, together with an indication of the nominee's willingness to serve, should reach the Secretary, Ms Marie Butcher, Faculty of Economics, Austin Robinson Building, Sidgwick Avenue, by 5 p.m. on 10 November. It would be convenient if notice of any other business that members wish to be discussed were sent in writing to the Secretary by 10 a.m. on 7 November.

History

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of History gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on 8 November in Room 3 in the Faculty of History, West Road. The main business will be to elect, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c) two members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years with effect from 1 January 2006.

Other business will be the consideration of Examiners Reports for 2005 and matters arising therefrom, recommendations of the Working Party on Examining Matters, and the Seeley Library Report 2004-05.

Nomination forms, signed by the nominee, the proposer, and the seconder, should reach the Secretary at the Faculty of History, West Road, not later than noon on 1 November.

Philosophy

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Philosophy gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on 21 November in the Board Room of the Faculty of Philosophy, Raised Faculty Building, Sidgwick Avenue. The main business will be the election of two members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to serve for four years from 1 January 2006.

Nominations for these elections and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary, Mrs A. Elliott, Faculty of Philosophy, Raised Faculty Building, Sidgwick Avenue, by 11 November (e-mail ae215@cam.ac.uk).
