JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN CLASSICS

Jesus College proposes to elect to two Junior Research Fellowships, tenable for three years from 1 October 2006. One post is open to those intending to pursue research in any field of Engineering Science; the other post is open to those intending to pursue research in Classics, defined as language and literature and ancient history, with a preference for a specialist in Greek. The Fellowships each carry a stipend of £19,460 in the first year, rising in increments for the second and third years (scale under review with effect from 1 August 2005). In addition, the Fellows will be entitled to free meals in College, and either free accommodation in College (suitable only for single Fellows) or a housing allowance of £5,162 a year.

Further information on both Fellowships may be accessed from the Jesus College website at http://www.jesus.ox.ac.uk/notices, or obtained from the Principal's Secretary, Jesus College, Oxford, OX1 3DW (helen.gee@jesus.ox.ac.uk), who should receive applications by 11 November. It is the responsibility of applicants to ask their referees (three are required) to send their references direct to the Principal's Secretary by the same date.
