THE NEIL LECTURE

Dr Kenneth Fincham, Reader in History at the University of Kent, will lecture in the College Chapel on 9 November, at 5.30 p.m., on 'So potent, crafty, and violent an adversary': Samuel Harsnett, Master of Pembroke and Archbishop of York. The lecture is to mark the 400th anniversary of the election of Samuel Harsnett as Master of Pembroke College. All are welcome. Please be seated in Chapel by 5.25 p.m. Tea will be available from 5 p.m. in the Old Library. A small exhibition of materials on Harsnett will be displayed in the College Library (not the Old Library), before and after the lecture.
