The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has accepted with gratitude a gift of £4,000, pledged under Gift Aid arrangements (the gross value to the University will be £5,128), from Professor Herbert Huppert, FRS, Fellow of King's College and Professor of Theoretical Geophysics, to establish a University prize in Geophysics.
The Council are submitting a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 1, p. 45) for the approval of regulations to govern the prize.
