R. A. BUTLER RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

Pembroke College hopes to elect not later than 1 January 2006 to the following Fellowship with tenure from 1 October 2006: R. A. Butler Research Fellowship in the Arts or Humanities or Social Sciences. There is a preference for candidates under twenty-eight years of age but older applicants are not excluded. The tenure of the Fellowship will be for three years. The holder will be permitted to do a limited amount of teaching for the College, but would require the permission of the Governing Body to undertake other paid work. The stipend currently ranges from £18,332 to £19,460 and is reviewed annually. Further financial particulars are available on request.

MAUDSLAY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

Pembroke College hopes to elect not later than 1 January 2006 to the following Fellowship with tenure from 1 October 2006: Maudslay Research Fellowship in Engineering.

The Maudslay Research Fellowship in Engineering was established to encourage the highest quality of research in any area of Engineering. The Research Fellow is likely to develop and to benefit from close links with the University's Department of Engineering. Candidates for the Fellowship may be men or women. There is a preference for candidates under twenty-eight years of age but older applicants are not excluded. The tenure of the Fellowship will be for three years. The holder will be permitted to carry out a limited amount of teaching for the College; the Governing Body is likely to give permission for a limited amount of other work, including external consultancy. The stipend will be in the range of £18,332 to £19,460, adjusted to account for any increases between now and 1 October 2005; the Fellowship is also offered assistance with research and travel expenses, and enjoys a number of rights and privileges.
