Graces to be submitted to the Regent House at a Congregation on 23 July 2005

The Council have sanctioned the submission of the following Graces to the Regent House at a Congregation to be held on 23 July 2005:

1. That the title of the Degree of Doctor of Law honoris causa be conferred under Statute B, IV upon MANMOHAN SINGH, M.A., Prime Minister of India, Honorary Fellow of St John's College.1

That the following persons be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts by incorporation:

2. REBECCA ANN WILLIAMS, Fellow of Robinson College, Master of Arts of the University of Oxford (2002).

3. JANET FREDA BOTTOMS, Fellow of Homerton College, University Lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Master of Arts of the University of Oxford (1967).

That the following persons be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts under the provisions of Statute B, III, 6:

4. GLYNIS JOAN PILBEAM, Computer Officer, Grade III, in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.

5. HOWARTH IRVING PENNY, Administrative Officer, Grade I, in the Academic Division.

6. JANET GRAHAM, of St John's College, Senior Assistant Registrary in the Academic Division of the University Offices.

7. DAVID HOWARD PEET, Departmental Secretary, Grade A, in the Department of Physics.

8. WENTAO SONG, Computer Officer, Grade III, in the Department of Anatomy.

9. KEITH STEPHEN TABER, of Homerton College, University Lecturer in the Faculty of Education.

10. KARL WAYNE YELLOP, Computer Officer, Grade III, in the University Computing Service.

11. ROGER ALLEN LEIGH, Fellow of Girton College, Professor of Botany (1724) in the Department of Plant Sciences.

12. SAMUEL OLUSOLA MACAULAY, Administrative Officer, Grade I, in the Finance Division of the University Offices.

13. CRAIG JOHN PEACOCK, Computer Officer, Grade III, in the Faculty of Economics.
