In the Reporter of 16 June 2004 (p. 846) it was announced that with effect from 1 October 2004, the examination for Part I of the Final M.B. Examination would be held twice a year only, in the Lent Term and in December in order to bring the number of sittings into line with those for the revised Part II of the examination. Regulation 15 of the Revised Regulations (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 437) was amended accordingly.
The Faculty Board of Clinical Medicine have advised the General Board that this has caused hardship to those few students who were unsuccessful in the Lent Term 2005 sitting, and who have no chance to resit the examination until December. The Board have agreed that, notwithstanding Regulation 15, an additional examination for Part I should be held in June 2005 according to the following timetable:
Friday 24 June | 9-11.20 | Paper 2 | ) | Examination Halls, New Museums Site |
Friday 24 June | 1.30-3.30 | Paper 1 | ) |
Monday 27 June | 9-12 | Department of Pathology |
