Assistant Registrary in the Academic Division of the University Offices (with duties in the Faculty of Economics)

Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Registrary with duties in the Faculty of Economics. As part of the senior management team, the post-holder will help shape and implement policies concerned with effective resource management and oversee the administrative support of the Faculty.

Candidates should be educated to degree level and have previous relevant experience in a senior administrative post, including proven ability in managing resources and staff, preferably gained in a higher education establishment.

Appointment will be to the retiring age subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period. The pensionable scale of stipends for an Assistant Registrary is currently £24,820 to £38,303 a year.

Project Manager

A Project Manager of vision and energy is sought to play a key part in the design of a major centre of research and education relating to the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim religious traditions. This post, in the Cambridge Interfaith Programme, is offered from 1 September 2005 for three years (the salary will be from £27,117 to £32,666 a year).

Research Assistant

The post of Research Assistant to the Regius Professor of Divinity, in the area of Modern Doctrine, is offered for three years from 1 September 2005 (the salary will be from £19,460 to £21,640 a year).

Temporary Teaching Fellow in Hebrew Studies in the Faculty of Oriental Studies

The Faculty of Oriental Studies wishes to appoint a temporary unestablished Teaching Fellow in Hebrew and Aramaic Studies, to cover the teaching normally given by Professor Geoffrey Khan, following his award of a British Academy Research Readership. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Hebrew (especially Biblical Hebrew) and Aramaic (especially Biblical and Targumic Aramaic) at undergraduate level and to contribute to administration of the subject area. The salary for this post is £23,643. The limit of tenure is from 1 October 2005 until 30 September 2007.

Administrative post in the School of Technology

This new post is required to assist the Secretary of the School of Technology in a wide-ranging work portfolio, including policy development and co-ordination of educational, estate, and personnel matters within the School, and enhancing communication between the central administration and the Departments within the School.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have relevant administrative experience. Excellent analytical and communications skills are essential to be an effective member of the administrative team. Appointment will be for three years in the first instance. The salary for this post is £27,117 to £32,666 a year.
