Appointments, reappointments, and grants of title

The following appointments, reappointments, and grants of title have been made:

Appointments

University Lecturer

History. Dr William Thomas O'Reilly, R, B.A., National University Ireland, Galway, M.St., D.Phil., Oxford, appointed from 1 October 2005 for three years.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Estate Management and Building Service). Mr John Leslie Wells, B.A., Bulmershe College of Higher Education, appointed Administrative Officer, Grade I, from 1 October 2003 until the retiring age.

Reappointments

University Lecturers

Economics. Dr Gernot P. Doppelhofer, T, reappointed from 1 October 2005 for one year.

Judge Institute of Management. Dr Simon James Bell, reappointed from 1 January 2006 until the retiring age.

Physics. Dr David Felix Buscher, PEM, reappointed from 1 October 2005 until the retiring age.

Veterinary Medicine. Dr Barbara Justine Skelly, N, and Mrs Elizabeth Jane Villiers have been reappointed from 1 April 2005 until the retiring age.

Associate Lecturers

Veterinary Medicine. Dr Roger William Blowey reappointed from 1 May 2004 for five years. Mr John Edwin Freeman Houlton, CTH, reappointed from 1 January 2005 for five years.

Chairman

Council of the School of Biological Sciences. Professor Sir Thomas Blundell, SID, reappointed from 1 October 2005 for two years.

Computer Officer

Engineering. Ms Eleanor Catherine Blair reappointed Computer Officer, Grade III, from 1 March 2005 for a year.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Lecturers

Clinical Medicine. Dr Adrian Mark Owen, CLH, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 July 2005 for a further two years.

Oriental Studies. Dr Christopher Cullen has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for two years.

Correction

Certain of the details published in the 27 April 2005 edition of the Reporter are incorrect. They should read as follows:

Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Dr Thomas Anthony Fisher, T, reappointed from 1 October 2005 until the retiring age. Dr Ivan Smith, CAI, reappointed from 1 January 2006 until the retiring age.
