St Catherine's College

STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH

St Catherine's College proposes to appoint a Stipendiary Lecturer in English from 1 October 2005. The Lectureship will be for one year.

The Lecturer will be expected to teach (in tutorials and classes) up to seven hours a week averaged over the three terms (twenty-four weeks) of the academical year. He or she will be responsible for teaching the following papers for the College:

Moderations (first-year courses): Victorian Literature, 1832-1900, Modern Literature (1900 to the present day), and any parts of Paper 1 (Text, Context, Intertext: An Introduction to Literary Studies) falling within his or her areas of expertise;

Final Honour School (second- and third-year courses): any parts of Paper 7 (Special Authors), Paper 8 (Special Topics) falling within his or her areas of expertise.
