With effect from 1 October 2005

The Schedules to the regulations have been amended as follows:

Spanish

SCHEDULE B

Paper Sp. 10 (Introduction to Catalan language and culture) may no longer be replaced by a portfolio of essays under Regulation 23 of the Tripos.

Paper Sp. 11 (The Hispanic languages) will no longer include course-work.

SCHEDULE IB

By removing the dagger symbol from Paper Sp. 10.

SCHEDULES IB and II

By removing the note 'c' and the footnote from Paper Sp. 11.

SCHEDULES B, IB, and II

The Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages give notice that they have suspended Paper Fr. 4 (Occitan literature, thought, and history, before 1356) for the academical year 2005-06 as they are unable to provide teaching. The paper will not be available for examination in 2006. The Faculty Board are satisfied that no student's preparation for the examination in 2006 will be adversely affected by this suspension.

Paper Li. 9. Foundations of speech communication

The Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages give notice that the course-work element required for this paper for the examination in 2006 will consist of a 4,000-word project to be submitted on the first day of the Full Easter Term 2006.
