Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CRASSH): Notice

A conference entitled Talking off the record: conversations between scientists and Government, will take place on 11 May at the Churchill Archives, Churchill College. This conference re-examines the intimate history of scientists and Government in Britain in the twentieth century. The conference includes a Witness Seminar with Sir Hermann Bondi (Chief Scientific Advisor, Ministry of Defence, 1971-77), Sir Ian Lloyd (President of Parliamentary Scientific Committee, 1990-92), and Sir Alcon Copisarow (Chief Scientific Officer, Ministry of Technology, 1960-64). Cambridge Realist Workshop. Mondays in term from 2 May, 7.30 p.m. for 8 p.m.
