COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN FRENCH

The College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates (Ph.D. degree or equivalent) for a College Lectureship in French. The successful applicant will be elected to the Fellowship and will be expected to teach small groups of students for twelve hours a week (over 20 weeks of the academical year), and assist in supervising, directing studies, and undergraduate admissions.

The appointment will take effect no later than 1 October 2005, for three years in the first instance. An earlier appointment date may be negotiated. The starting stipend for this post will be in the range of £17,206 to £25,700 on the University scale for academic appointments, depending on age and experience.

Applications, including a curriculum vitae, a statement of research, and the names of three referees (one teaching referee and two research referees), should be addressed to the Master. The deadline for receipt of applications is 13 May. It is anticipated that the final interviews will be held between 23 and 27 May. Further particulars are available on the College website at http://www.trinhall.cam.ac.uk/appointments, or from Ginny Swepson (tel. 01223 332540, fax 01223 765157, e-mail vfab2@cam.ac.uk) at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, CB2 1TJ.
