Professorship of Medicine (1987): Notice

The Board of Electors to the Professorship of Medicine (1987) invite applications for this Professorship from persons whose work falls within any field related to Internal Medicine to take up appointment on 1 October 2005 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Professorship will be based in the Department of Medicine in the School of Clinical Medicine. The person filling the Chair will lead a programme of research and provide clinical academic leadership within his/her field, and in the Department. It is expected that he/she will hold an Honorary Consultant contract with Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The annual pensionable stipend for a Professor with clinical responsibilities is on a scale of £67,133 to £90,838, at a point determined by level of seniority.
