COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH (FIXED TERM)

Applications are invited from women and men for a College Lectureship in English at Newnham College, to take effect from 1 October 2005. Newnham is a College for women, with distinguished traditions in the teaching of English. The successful candidate will be expected to share in the Direction of Studies, the selection of candidates for admission to the College, and to provide 240 hours of small group teaching in the compulsory third year (Part II) Tragedy Paper (which is cross-period) and in any other period of English Literature covered by the syllabus up to the mid-nineteenth century. The salary will be fixed at a point in the range between £21,000 and £24,000 a year, depending on experience.
