REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

Chemical Engineering Tripos, Part IIB

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 241)

With immediate effect

The form of the examination for Part IIB of the Tripos was recently revised (Reporter, 2003-04, p. 494). Optional modules were introduced to be examined by either written papers of one and a half hours' duration or by course-work or by a combination of the two. The Chemical Engineering Syndicate have subsequently announced to candidates in notices in the Department of Chemical Engineering and on the departmental Webpage that the duration of the written papers in the examination in 2005 will be two hours. The regulations have accordingly been amended as follows:

Regulation 16(b).

By replacing in line 2 the words 'one and a half' by the word 'two'.

The Syndicate are satisfied that no student's preparation for the examination in 2005 will be disadvantaged by this amendment.
