This scheme is designed for British Nationals, able to work in French, who wish to proceed to further study, postgraduate research, or postdoctoral work in all fields of knowledge in a French institution, university, or Grande Ecole, and who expect to graduate in 2005 with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree, or who are working towards a Ph.D. Degree, at a UK university. (There is a similar provision for French researchers to come to the UK.)

The Scholarship is awarded for one academical year. The annual award for the Scholars in 2005-06 will be £8,000 in Paris and £7,500 outside Paris. These amounts cover lodging, food, travel, and books. Registration and tuition fees are also paid, up to a maximum of £3,000. Please note that these Scholarships are not available in conjunction with any other scholarship, financial help, or paid employment.
