SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP IN THEOLOGY

Exeter College proposes to elect a graduate to a Senior Scholarship in Theology from 1 October 2005. The Scholar is to study for the Final Honour School of either Theology or Philosophy and Theology.

The value of the Scholarship will be determined by the College in the light of the Scholar's financial circumstances, but may, in appropriate cases, cover all College and University fees for a home or EC student, and provide a maintenance grant of £4,095 a year.

The Scholarship is open to both men and women. The successful candidate shall hold, or expect to hold by the time of admission to the Scholarship, at least a second class Honours degree in a subject other than Theology.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae and the names of two referees, whom applicants should ask to write directly to the Academic Administrator.

USHER CUNNINGHAM STUDENTSHIP IN HISTORY

Exeter College expects to elect to an Usher-Cunningham Studentship for graduate work in Oxford in Medieval or Modern History.

The Studentship is tenable from 1 October 2005 for one year, renewable for up to three years, and will pay full fees plus a grant for maintenance up to the value of a standard Research Council award for home and EU Students.

Applicants, who must be under 25 years of age on 1 October 2005, must be graduates of an Irish university. The successful candidate must be accepted by the Oxford Modern History Faculty to read for a postgraduate degree, and be, or become, a resident member of Exeter College.

They should include the names of two referees, whom applicants should ask to write directly to the Academic Administrator, together with a curriculum vitae, a research proposal, and two pieces of written work.
