On 28 February, at 8.30 p.m. in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Professor Simone Hochgreb, of the Department of Engineering, will deliver a lecture entitled Burning cleaner, burning less: what combustion science can do.
At a meeting held on 14 February, in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, Professor A. Howie, was in the Chair.
Seventy-two Fellows were elected and one was re-elected.
Dr Alan Smith of the Department of Earth Sciences delivered a lecture entitled A billion years of plate tectonics.
