Natural Sciences Tripos, Part II (Biological and Biomedical Sciences), 2006: Notice

The Faculty Board of Biology give notice, in accordance with Regulation 30 for the Natural Sciences Tripos, of the following subjects, and restrictions on combinations of subjects, for Part II in 2006. Please note that the subjects and combinations may be subject to further change.

Subject to any restrictions announced in a particular year by the Faculty Board under the provisions of Regulation 30, candidates are required to offer in the examination for Part II Biological and Biomedical Sciences of the Natural Sciences Tripos:

(a) the examination requirements of one Major Subject;
(b) the examination requirements of one Minor Subject;
(c) a dissertation of not more than 6,000 words, excluding tables, figures, and references.

All subjects make provision for candidates to offer a dissertation.

The subjects available and permissible combinations are listed below, together with the name of the Department offering the subject (which may be consulted for advice). If there is a limit on the number of candidates who can be accepted for a subject, this is indicated.
