Applications are invited from women with home fee status for the Muir Wood Research Studentship in Mathematics, Engineering, or Science, commencing October 2005. The studentship covers fees plus a maintenance allowance of £7,800 a year. Candidates would be expected to have a first-class honours degree, and to have been accepted by a Faculty of the University. Applicants must also have applied for Research Council Funding and, should they secure full funding from such a source, the Muir Wood Studentship would carry an honorarium of £500 annually. Applications should be made to the Graduate Tutor, Newnham College, Cambridge, CB3 9DF, and the closing date for applications is 1 April.
