TUTORIAL FELLOWSHIP IN LAW AND CUF LECTURESHIP IN THE FACULTY OF LAW

St Catherine's College and the Board of the Faculty of Law propose to elect and appoint a Tutorial Fellow and CUF Lecturer in Law, with effect from 1 October 2005 or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary will be on an age-related scale from £26,068 to £45,707 a year, with a housing allowance of £4,783 a year. The successful applicant will be required to take tutorial responsibility and teach for the College, lecture and supervise graduates for the Faculty of Law, and undertake research.

The College will require the successful candidate to teach two or more of the following subjects: Roman Law, Criminal Law, Tort Law, Trusts, Land Law, European Community Law, Constitutional Law, and Administrative Law. In addition the appointee will be expected to teach special options within his or her competence. The Board of the Faculty of Law has decided that the person appointed must be able to offer on appointment, or within a reasonable time thereafter, University teaching in one or more of the following subjects: Company Law, Commercial Law, Conflict of Laws, European Community Law, Family Law, Intellectual Property Law, Land Law, Philosophical Foundations of Property Law, Roman Law, and Trusts. Applicants must state which subject(s) they propose to teach for the College and for the Faculty.
