Appointments, reappointments, and grant of title

The following appointments, reappointments, and grant of title have been made:

Appointments

Assistant Director of Research

Chemical Engineering. Dr Andrew John Sederman, M.A., M.Eng., Ph.D., F, appointed from 1 January 2005 for four years.

Chairman of Council of School

School of Technology. Professor Ian Hugh White, JE, appointed from 1 January 2005 for one year.

Chairman of Faculty Board

Classics. Dr Winifred Mary Beard, N, appointed from 1 January 2005 until 30 September 2005.

Acting Head

Centre of South Asian Studies. Professor Christopher Alan Bayly, CTH, appointed from 1 January 2005 until 31 March 2005.

Senior Technical Officer

Clinical Medicine. Mr David Cheesman, appointed from 1 February 2005 until the retiring age, based in the Cambridge Institute of Medical Research.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Health and Safety Division). Mr John Stewart Hulme, B.Sc., Exeter, appointed Administrative Officer, Grade II, from 1 February 2005 until the retiring age.

Counsellors

University Counselling Service. Ms Christine V. Kell, B.A., CNNA, appointed part-time Counsellor, Grade II, from 29 November 2004 until the retiring age. Mrs Sarah Diana Parkin, M.A., East Anglia, appointed part-time Counsellor, Grade II, from 1 December 2004 until the retiring age.
