St Luke's M.Phil. Scholarships for South-East Asian Students 2005-06: Notice

The trustees of the St Luke's Institute announce the St Luke's M.Phil. Scholarships for the academical year 2005-06 for newly commencing M.Phil. students from the under-represented regions of South East Asia, especially Bhutan, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Scholarships are tenable for all M.Phil. courses offered by the University and are for one year only. The value of the Scholarships will depend on the financial circumstances of the Scholar, but full Scholarships (fees and maintenance) are available for appropriate candidates.

A maximum of ten full Scholarships will be awarded - or the respective number of supplementary grants equal to this figure.

Applications for Scholarships are invited from students who have received an offer of admission from the University for an M.Phil. course commencing in October 2005; the application must be accompanied by a letter of support either from the relevant officer in the Department in which the student holds a conditional offer or from the Graduate Tutor of the College of which the candidate has been offered membership.

Application particulars can be viewed at http://www.stlukesinstitute.org.uk/scholar.html. Early application is strongly recommended and no further applications can be accepted after 31 May. Specific queries may be addressed to stlukesintitute@yahoo.co.uk.
